Purim

I learned something new during a recent custom design!

Today, February 23 is Purim.
The festival of Purim is celebrated every year on the 14th of the Hebrew month of Adar (late winter/early spring). It commemorates the salvation of the Jewish people in ancient Persia from Haman’s plot “to destroy, kill and annihilate all the Jews, young and old, infants and women, in a single day."

On Purim we emphasize the importance of Jewish unity and friendship by sending gifts of food to friends.

In the spirit of the holiday, my client put together winter/ski themed gift baskets to present to their family friends. She wanted a customized card to include with the baskets, specifically making some of the letters of their names with skiing icons.

The back of the card uses pictures of the boys skiing and includes a cute instructional piece about the gift.
