"WYATT" — Birth Announcement

I've been waiting a long time to add this birth announcement to the blog because I didn't want to ruin the surprise for any of the recipients, but I absolutely love how it turned out.

The kraft envelopes are a beautiful addition and go wonderfully with the fabric little Wyatt is wrapped in on the front of the card. It has a "satin" finish with rounded corners and I couldn't be more pleased with how they turned out.

Congratulations to this beautiful new family!

POLAR EXPRESS Birthday . Ticket Invitation

The Polar Express is one of my favorite secular Christmas stories. We were privileged to take our son on a Polar Express experience in Ohio last year and so many wonderful memories were made. Chris Van Allsburg, author of The Polar Express was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan (where I am based). Our city is referenced in the movie and the snowy winter atmosphere featured certainly feels like home.

When I received the request for this project, the concept of a golden ticket immediately jumped to mind. The invitation is double-sided and printed on a very thick, metallic gold coverstock with notched ends to create the ticket shape.

This mom also wanted thank you cards that included a message, but these can be ordered blank as well. I was tickled to see how they turned out and hope that this little guy has an amazing birthday!

I also think these could be easily altered to accommodate a non-birthday event and could even be super cute gift tags...especially for train-loving little boys & their classmates!

Gingerbread House Party — Peppermint

I did a version of these invitations last year and updated the design for 2012. I must admit that I took great layout inspiration from a wonderful designer, classmate, and dear friend of mine, Nikki Adair at LaBelle Fette. Her daughter's birthday invitation had a very similar structure and I just loved it.

Once again, this was so fun to work on and it makes me want to host this party. Perhaps when my brand new baby turns 3-4....

"DECLAN" — Birth Announcement

I have waited so long to get to design another birth announcement for a child of my own. This wasn't my original plan for the design of his card, but I love how it turned out.

We love you so much, little man!

Declan Trotter Nealon

Our precious son, Declan Trotter Nealon arrived at 12:51 on Wednesday, September 26th at 12:51 pm. He weighed 7 pounds, 3 ounces and was 20 inches long.

The whole family is home now and recovering well. We are truly blessed with both of our boys and couldn't be more thankful for our precious gifts.

CHUGGINGTON Birthday Invitation

Based on my own 4 year old man, I know little boys love trains. I am very pleased with how this Chuggington-inspired invitation turned out. It was originally designed for brothers with the same birthday, so if you have a similar situation or twins, let me know and I can show you how it looks for two kids.

The wording inside the "logo" can be whatever you wish: "Birthday", your child's name, your last name, etc. etc. Just let me know how to customize it for you!

I've added the "extras" available below. I can also work up some sort of pennant banner if you are interested. Notice I even added custom cupcake toppers with the cake type (other flavors also available). Email me to order.

BALL PIT Birthday Invitation

I've actually thought of having a party for my little guy using this theme, so I may have to recycle this invitation for myself!

These invitations were designed for a party to be held at a place called "My Gym". Although we don't have any in my area, after looking at the website, I came to the conclusion that a ball pit theme would be appropriate, colorful & cute.

The colors of the balls & letters are customizable as is the age. Just let me know what you want your invitation to include.

Here are the matching "extras" available.

Flutterbug BABY SHOWER Invitations

After seeing my "Peek-a-Boo Monsters" invitations, I was commissioned to design some to coordinate with a bedding set by Kidsline called "Flutterbug". These cute little insects were fun to recreate and I love the soft pinks and purples, perfect for a little girl's room.

I've tried to include a variety of style options. Please refer to the invitation styles by number. #1-#3 are available in 4x6 and 5x7, while #4 is only available as a "monarch" size (same pricing as the 4x6).

Of course I have coordinating "extras" to match.

To order, all you need to do is email me the design of your choice, noting the size, all shower information and any special requests including color & wording changes. I'll also need to know the quantity needed and if you would like return address printing (12¢ per envelope), thank you card sets or stickers.

The whole project should take about a week from order to delivery. I ship using USPS Priority Mail and accept payments via PayPal and by digital check (you take a photo of the physical check and email me the JPEG).

Feel free to contact me for additional information.

Silver ASPEN Leaves Wedding Suite

This design stemmed from a request from my other Aspen leaves invitation suite.

This design uses a metallic "platinum" coverstock for the gatefold with a metallic "graphite" backer. The coverstock for the actual invitation itself can be bright white or natural.

The bride asked that we tie in her save the date card (that I did not design) that used a bark-like texture with the heart, so we added that on the band.

I will be adding pictures of the actual pieces as soon as I get them off my camera....

"ALEXIS" - Double Mounted Metallic Birth Announcement

Isn't she a beauty?!

These announcements turned out beautifully.  I love the metallic papers used for the image itself and the bronze backer.

The actual announcements are even fancier with a lace embellishment and gem. (I'll try to add a picture later.) This option is available, but I'll be honest and say that they took me forever to assemble with the embellishments...

40th Anniversary Celebration Invitation

My wonderful parents celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary in August of this year. However, I'm ashamed to say that this invitation was not designed for them....

I did keep them in mind while working on this "ruby" year celebration. I love patterns and textures and thought this was a sophisticated, yet modern way to celebrate a marriage of 4 decades. It also lends itself to be modified easily for other milestone years.

Pricing is for the 3.5 x 7.25 (actually closer to 7.5") sizing.

Email me to order.

Scooby-Doo BIRTHDAY

A "girly Scooby-Doo birthday invitation" was the request I received.

This was the end result. I'm pleased with how they turned out, even if they took me longer than I'd anticipated.

Here is a "boy" version of the A design. This one is actually for 2 boys, but I just wanted to show an example of the fonts and colors appropriate for a Scooby-loving little guy.

All 3 of these designs can be ordered at the 4x6 or 5x7 size. Pricing is to the right, based on quantity. I haven't designed any thank you cards or stickers at this point, but just let me know what you are looking for and I'm sure I can whip something up!

Please keep the length of your child's name in mind when you order a specific design (A, B, or C). Obviously "Stephanie" won't fit very well in the C design.

Corner ROSES 70th Birthday Invitation

I recently received a request for another milestone adult birthday...using pink and white. I can use any number you wish...not limited to 60 or 70th birthdays.

I actually pulled up an old image and reused it with a modern twist (Elegant 80th). I've worked it up in 2 different sizes and it can be used beautifully with a photo or without. (I would recommend using a black and white photo if you go with that option.)

Believe it or not, the return address printing is actually one of my favorite parts of the design. Although I normally love colored envelopes (because they stand out in the mail), the fancy printing really requires a pointed flap, available in white. I am happy to do return address printing with the colored envelopes too, but the layout would be different to accommodate the square flap.

The color scheme is easily customizable, so just let me know what you in have in mind.  Email me with questions or to order. Pricing is based on quantity and size and can be seen on the right side of this blog.

AUTUMN PECAN Save the Date Postcard

This project was a lot of fun to work on and I am very pleased with the final design.

The couple will marry at their Pecan orchard, so we worked to create a whimsical announcement with this imagery. I also love the subtle pecan leaf that adds an additional texture to the front and back of the postcard.

I will continue to work with the bride to complete the wedding suite with a classic, contemporary invitation design that uses copper and brown tones and hope to include the leaf cluster in these pieces.

Gingham Dragonfly — Bridal Brunch

I received a request for a less formal version of my brunch invitation already on the blog.

The venue is more casual: checkered tablecloths, mason jars for drinking glasses, etc.

The bride used a dragonfly on her save the dates and her wedding colors are poppy, gold and gray. I combined all of these elements to come up with a sophisticated, fun brunch invitation.

Email me to order this exact invitation or request special modifications to make it perfect for your needs.

STEMS Lawn & Garden Bridal Shower Invitation

I have another lawn and garden design on the blog, but this one was recently purchased and turned out beautifully. I am open to many color schemes, so just let me know what you have in mind.

Available in a 5x7 or a 4x6.

Supplementary "extras" like thank you notes, stickers, etc. are available upon request.

Email me to order.

Cute as a Button BIRTHDAY

I'm really pleased with how this custom birthday invitation turned out. Gemma's mom wanted to use a pink, blue, green & brown color scheme and I just so happened to have buttons in those very colors to embellish the invitations.

She is planning to use lots of different patterns at the party, so I created a plaid and used polka-dots to keep things light and airy.

I am happy to alter the color scheme to meet your needs and think this sweet invitation would look great in a variety of colors. It is available as a 5x7, 4x6 or the "monarch" size which is approximately 3.5 x 7.25 for pricing options. I am also option to unique wording for a different age. Just let me know what you want it to say!

There are many extras to choose from that match this design. The stickers shown are both "favor" stickers, but it is very easy to substitute an address to create adorable return address labels.

The pricing for these sized invitations is available at the right with a small fee for the buttons. That fee is based on the number if your order...probably 5-10¢ per invitation.

ASPEN LEAVES Wedding Suite

This is actually the most recent of my wedding designs that I need to catch up on posting.
The bride wanted a combination of fancy and earthy while using purples and aspen leaves. I created an image of branches with aspen leaves to use her color scheme (this can be altered to fit your needs) and we decided to combine a "fancy" metallic purple paper with a very earthy kraft coverstock. The paper choice is somewhat unexpected, but turned out really great and successfully merged a formal affair with the natural elements of Colorado.

This is a gatefold invitation and I am happy to design coordinating inserts as needed. The backed wrap holds everything together and fits into an A7 envelope.
In addition to the invitations, Kayla asked that I design a 11x14 seating chart, table number tents and a two-in-one program/menu (program on the front, menu on the back). All of the pieces turned out beautifully. Congratulations to K+R on their new marriage!

"CLAIRE" – Dusty Blue & Coral Birth Announcement

I was so thrilled to get to design an announcement for this precious baby girl! Her mom and dad are dear friends and we could not be more excited for their new addition.

The color scheme is modern and soft...coupled with an elegant script it is perfect for a little girl. The fonts can change easily to be fitting for a little lad as well.

Bulk pricing available for orders over 50. Requires a minimum 2 week turnaround for larger orders. Email me with questions or to place an order. I am happy to adjust photos in Photoshop, but you must have full rights to reproduce.

PEACOCK Wedding Invitation Suite

I have so many wedding invitation designs that I need to get up on the blog.... My goal is to have them all up by the end of the biggest wedding month of the season: June.

I somehow sent these off in the mail before taking photos of the finished pieces, but I am so pleased with how they turned out!

This metallic suite is certain to stand out in the mailbox and in the memory of the recipients. I love what the lagoon colored envelopes add to the set.

Of course these colors are completely customizable. My favorite part is the way the peacock is nestled into the shape within the invitation.

Email me for pricing information or to place your order.

Cat in the Hat FIRST Birthday

I love the birthday poem with this Cat in the Hat birthday invitation. It is easy to customize for something other than a swimming party. There are 2 versions of this design. The larger image above and the #2 option to the left. Please let me know which you prefer and if you have changes to the wording of the poem.

Thank you cards and stickers are also available upon request.

CRAYONS & ART Birthday Invitation

I may have designed these for a 4 year old little boy, but I would have LOVED an art birthday when I was growing up. I've loved to color for as long as I can remember. Needless to say, this was a very fun project to work on.

The invitations are the economical "monarch" (3.5x7.25) but if you are looking for something bigger, they can also be a 4x8.5 (same pricing as 5x7).

I personally feel that the invitation shown with "Jake" is fitting for both boys and girls. However, if you are looking for something a bit more feminine, here are some alternate fonts to choose from. Please specify the alternate font when ordering.

There are many "extras" with this design and I will switch out fonts as needed. Please note the new wrap around address label that includes space for the recipient's address as well as a return address sticker that wraps onto the back of the envelope!

Please email me with any questions or to place an order!

PEACOCK Recipe Card Shower Invitation

I recently got a request for a recipe card shower invitation using a peacock feather with a purple and aqua color combination. Just like my other recipe card designs, the invitation is perforated so it is easy for the recipients to remove and bring to the shower. In this case, although I changed the wording a bit, I actually provided A1 size envelopes with this set that are being sent with the invitations so people can mail in their recipes. That is such a thoughtful idea! Let me know if you would like to do the same!

Although not related, I have yet to add a whole wedding invitation suite I did last month using a very similar theme. Peacocks must be popular. :)

Colors and font styles customizable upon request.

FLAG — 4th of July Picnic Invitation

I am very blessed to live in a wonderful neighborhood community. We even have a social committee that plans functions and outings. I happen to help out on this committee and love coming up with invitation designs for some of our larger gatherings. (Fall Party invitation from 2011)

This design is actually based on a design for a 4th of July Birthday BBQ that I recently did for a client that was not selected. I made some changes and am pleased with how it turned out for our purposes.

It can be printed as a 5x7, 4x6 flat card set or postcard. Alternatively, a digital file (for email web distribution only) is available for $15. I've used the digital version as the event photo for the Facebook event that was created for this party. If you place a $20 print order, I will provide the digital file for free.

Email me to place your July 4th order!
Wording is completely customizable. Also, if you prefer to have solid stars instead of the grilling icons, just let me know.

BRIGHT AUTUMN Wedding Suite

The bride & groom wanted to use bright colors for their fall wedding: aqua, orange and brown. They also specifically wanted the background of the invitations to be chocolate brown. We ended up going with a bright "Tiffany" blue pocket-fold to house the invitation and inserts. The invitation itself is backed in a tangy orange. To keep printing costs down, the invitations were printed digitally and on a natural paper with a full solid bleed. The corners are rounded throughout.

The inserts were a bit of a challenge because obviously guests needed to be able to write on a light color, but I wanted to make sure that the "nested" effect within the pocket-fold was still dark. I'm pleased with how it turned out and is wrapped nicely with a bright orange wrap and a "seal" of the couple's name.

Alice in Wonderland Garden SHOWER

When I got the request for this whimsical bridal shower invitation (that would also be cute for a baby) I wasn't sure of my direction or concept. However, I now LOVE this whimsical invitation that is open to tons of creative color schemes!  (sunset and snow cone are shown) It is available in single sided or double sided and although I recommend using it as a 5x7, it can also be ordered as a 4x6. Be sure to read the adorable poem that my client wrote for the front of the double-sided version!
I've already designed several thank you cards (flat and a fancy fold-over version) as well as address stickers. The stickers are sold per sheet and come in 2" and 2.5" sizes. There are 20 stickers per sheet for 2" and 12 for the 2.5".
Email me with questions or to place your order!

Vintage TRAIN TICKET Birthday Invitation

My little boy loves trains, so I thought of him while working on this train ticket birthday invitation project.

I am very pleased with how these turned out and have several other options as well (email me to see additional choices). The colors are completely customizable to meet your needs. I can also invert the rounded corners at your request for an even more "ticket-like" look. These would also be adorable for a first birthday. The date is punched out using a hole punch.

Return address printing, flat or folded thank you cards and stickers are also available. Email me today to order!
I've recently received requests for pennant "banners" matching some of my designs. I've decided to make these available on the blog as well. The requested banner in the "vintage train" theme uses a light gray instead of a light blue, but that is an easy modification if you prefer the light blue.

There are 2 size options for each pennant: SMALL = 6.5 x 7.5" per pennant, using .25" ribbon or LARGE = 7.5 x 10" per pennant, using .5" ribbon. When ordering, please specify the design you prefer and if you want the icons on the end, or used as spacers.

I had a request for a more "girly" version of this invitation for a little girl. It turned out SO CUTE!

Dan Vis Builders - Marketing Cards

I designed Dan's logo last year just finished creating some marketing cards for him before the Parade of Homes showcases one of his beautiful new houses. I'm not sure how well you can see the pictures, but his attention to detail is unmatched and he builds all of his own custom cabinetry.....impressive to say the least!
