Mimosas & Monograms — Bridal Shower Invitation

Every bride needs gifts branded with her (almost) new initials....especially in the SOUTH!

This is such a fun idea for a shower. Be sure to note the adorable little poem on the left side of the champagne flute. It describes the purpose/theme in case the title itself isn't clear enough. The fool-proof monogram guide to the guests is clever, thoughtful, & hopefully prevents anything from being permanently embroidered with the wrong initials!

This invitation design has now been added to my NealonDesign ETSY store!! Please favorite my store to stay updated on all the invitation designs I'll be adding! For a link to the original Monograms & Mimosas design, click HERE! I'll be adding the vertical version (shown below) very soon!

The new version has a vertical orientation with the champagne flute centered. I added the monogram information and registry list to the front of the design so an insert or back side printing is not needed. The II sample shown here is a 5x7 in the quatrefoil shape. Most of the shapes in the 5x7 will work beautifully, and it is also available as a standard 4x6 with rounded corners.

The bride's new monogram or the couple's monogram can be used on the glass. If you are listing the bride's monogram, please confirm with the honoree if she intends to use her middle or maiden initial after she is married. This is a very regional decision, so I make no assumptions anymore!

Atlanta Production Consultants — LOGO design

I've done Christmas cards for Nicole for the last few years and she asked me to design a logo for her new company, Atlanta Production Consultants. She wanted to include the city skyline and a film reel since the nature of the business is to provide services to the film industry. She also wanted to use a "Georgia peach" color. You've got to be really careful with peach so it doesn't end up looking PINK, but I think we did a good job.

I designed a her logo, facebook cover "photo", and marketing cards to highlight the services her company offers.

One of the beautiful aspects of this logo is that it can maintain the same overall look, but the colors can change to create an entirely different feel for seasons or events. We changed it up to shades of green for St. Patrick's Day and to highlight and upcoming event the company is co-hosting called Prodcution Link. FB Event.

Kate Wiggerman Photography — LOGO design

My friend and neighbor is very talented behind a camera and has decided to pursue photography as a part-time career while she also raises her beautiful sons. It was my pleasure to work up a logo for her that fits her style.

Check out her work on Facebook.

LIFT — LOGO Design

Custom logo for a client looking for a modern, urban logo using black, red, blue, & gray. It was also important to allow space for a city to be listed to differentiate between locations.

Tulips & Teacakes — LOGO design

This floral and dessert boutique wanted a fresh look with a little whimsy using lavender and green. I love the swashes in "tulips" and that the "i" is dotted with an iconic tulip, and the "stem" is green. Teacakes is in a deeper lavender with a classic, serif typeface to anchor the logo. Upscale, clean, & simple.

Here are some of my "digital doodles" to provide a peek into the design process. Sometimes it comes really easy and quick...and at other times, design can be truly challenging.
This one was fun.

RING — Bachelorette/Lingerie Shower

I pretty much adore this invitation. Look closely and the ring is made up of girly icons, perfect for a beach trip or lingerie shower. Even if you aren't going to the beach, I am happy to remove that line and I still think the design is appropriate.

I love the little poem. Another client sent me a version of it and I modified it to fit the masses.

This invitation is designed as an economical "monarch" size, but I am happy to reformat as a 5x7 too. Just ask.

This design is now available in my NealonDesign Etsy store! Click HERE for a direct link to the listing.

MINNIE with Photo — Birthday Invitation

Here is another girly spin on a Minnie Mouse birthday. Obviously, this design has a perfect spot for a photo. The sample uses the "modern" Minnie's pink and white color scheme, but this is adjustable and would look super cute in red and black, too.

Customized supplemental pieces are always available to complete the suite. This includes flat or fold-over thank you cards, stickers for favors, banners, etc. Just let me know what you have in mind!

Available as a 5x7 or a 4x6. Add return address printing for only $.20 per envelope.

BOUNCE HOUSE Birthday Invitation

Inflatables are fun. I can't think of a little kid I know that wouldn't love to bounce and jump to celebrate a friend's birthday.

Finding a stylish, non-hokey, invitation design for this type of party can be a bit challenging...I've looked. This is my solution. Instead of using the common castle-structure or cartoonish children, I stuck with a bold, primary color palette and used silhouetted jumping children. I created a bit of a "castle" within the child's name and I should be able to create something similar regardless what the name may be.

The colors and wording are customizable.

This design is available as a 5x7 or a 4x6 and pricing is based on quantity, listed in the far right column of the blog.

I also designed a favor sticker that looks like a ball with a cute "ball" saying on it because the favors were going to be little containers of bouncy balls....how fitting. :) If you have a different idea, just let me know! I am also happy to work up coordinating flat or fold-over thank you cards.

SUGAR & SPICE Baby Shower

"Sugar & spice, and everything nice." We all know that is what little girls are made of. This invitation and shower theme takes that well-recognized saying to a whole new level. The shape is fun, the fonts playful, and the candy images are completely in line with the shower "theme" and large displays of colorful candy for decoration (& consumption).

For this particular shower, this was the mother-to-be's second child, but first girl. The shower was an excuse to get together with friends and stock the little girl's room with all things "girly". I designed this little insert as a creative way to guide people when selecting a gift...make it girlie! 3.5x5 inserts are $.50 each.

Pricing for the shaped design is the same as a normal 5x7. Costs are based on quantity and are listed in the far right column of the blog.

FANCY CAKE Wedding Shower

This design is certainly "fancy". I was asked to use pastel colors and create a cake with some glamour. The tiers of the cake made wonderful spaces for event details. I think the combination of fonts is a lot of fun and am overall very pleased with how this invitation turned out.

The colors are all very customizable, just let me know what you have in mind!

The monarch size is very economical with invitations as low as $1.00 each. (pricing in far right column of blog based on quantity.)

BAMBI Baby Shower Invitation

I am really trying to add designs as I finish them so I can avoid a huge backlog (like I currently have).

I just finished this invitation this morning and I'm thrilled that the client was very pleased! The mother-to-be is obviously expecting a little girl and my client specifically wanted an image of Bambi and the butterfly (on nose or tail). The vertical orientation of this size created a nice area for text placement and I love how the little "baby shower" banner turned out.

The white envelope that is included in the sets also looks really cute with the little butterfly and address printed on the back flap for only$.20 per envelope.

Just let me know if you want coordinating supplemental pieces, and I will design them for you.

Pricing is available for the "monarch" size to the right of the blog.

DRESS Bridal Shower Invitation

I love the simplicity and elegance of this design. The fancy shape makes it really special and is the same price as my regular 5x7 size (pricing to the right). The colors are completely customizable and the combinations are endless.

Upgrade to a metallic paper with a little shine for only $.15 per invitation. Upgrade the envelope too for $.20 each.

Low Country Boil — WEDDING SHOWER

I'm a transplanted southern girl. Needless to say, many of my friends are back "home" in Georgia. You may find that southern style and traditions make their way into some of my designs. In this case, unless you are from the south, you may not even know what is involved with a "Low Country Boil" (or Lowcountry Boil). Basically, you toss a ton of food in one pot with lots of seasoning, cook it, throw it out on a table, & consume with friends and family. Not too tough.

I was very excited to work on this invitation for a family friend. I didn't want to use a specific seafood image, but chose to keep it classy and a little "country". One of the first images to come to mind was the mason jar. In the south, these canning jars are used as everything from a vase for flowers to a drinking glass.

There were several compositions submitted to the client and this was actually NOT the one selected for the event. However, it is my favorite. :) This design is available as a 5x7 or a 4x6. The super cute return address printing is available for an additional $.20 per envelope. Pricing per invitation set is based on size and quantity (listed on the far right column of the blog). Colored envelopes (recommended in yellow or "snow cone") are available for the 5x7 size only for $.20 each. I am open to color changes to fit the scheme of your event.

I am happy to design supplemental pieces such as flat or fold-over thank you cards, couple advice cards, recipe cards, or any other printed piece needed to make the shower extra special for the bride and groom.

Here is an example of one recipe:
4 pounds small red potatoes
5 quarts water
1 (3 oz) bag of crab boil seasoning
4 tablespoons Old Bay seasoning
2 pounds kielbasa or hot smoked link sausage, cut into 1 1/2" pieces
6 ears of corn, halved
4 pounds large, fresh, shrimp. peeled and deveined optional
cocktail sauce

Add potatoes to large pot, then add 5 quarts water & seasonings. Cover pot and heat to a rolling boil: cook 5 minutes. Add sausage and corn, and return to a boil. Cook 10 minutes or until potatoes are tender.

Add shrimp to stockpot; cook 3 or 4 minutes or until shrimp turn pink. Drain. Serve with cocktail sauce.

Serves 12.
