Electric Materials Company 100th Anniversary

I was asked to design an anniversary invitation for the Electric Materials Company celebrating an impressive 100 years. The client liked my family tree anniversary design with the gold gatefold, so I used that as a base and whipped something up just for them. My understanding is that the company began by supplying materials for trolleys..specifically copper. In previous anniversaries, they used the "It all began with the trolley" line, so I wanted to use it again for the big anniversary.

I used a metallic copper coverstock for the gatefold card. The quote is on one flap and the vintage trolley image is on other and wraps onto the back. The interior panel is a 4x6 with black text. The gatefold holds a 4x6 postcard printed in color with the logo (I did not design the logo) and the same logo is used on a wrap to hold everything together.

Overall, I am really pleased with how the invitations turned out. The committee was great to work with and I wish them all the best with their upcoming event!

FAMILY TREE Anniversary Invitation

I recently worked on another set of invitations for this client and she asked me to come up with something special for her parent's upcoming 50th wedding anniversary celebration.

She wanted to use gold because 50th is the "Golden Anniversary". She also requested a tree image with roots to symbolize family, and provided a poem to include on the invitation. The rest was up to me.

I'm not exactly sure how the idea came to me, but I am so excited about these printed, gatefold, golden invitations. The invitation flaps close to form a tree with each member of the couple and the invitation is sealed with a metallic red heart. Once opened, it reveals a white, 4x6 invitation panel printed with black ink.

These sets include plain white envelopes and return address printing is available for $.20 per envelope.

I am picking up the printed pieces tomorrow and I can't wait to see them in person. This is actually a very economical invitation because all of the printing is in black. It is the paper and presentation that really dress it up!

Celebrating 70

I previously had this design grouped with another 70th birthday party invitation, but now that I've created a feminine version as well, I thought it deserved a post of its own.

These invitations are available as a 4x6 or 5x7 (please specify when ordering). The colors are customizable. It is typical that I need to do a little bit of Photoshop work with the photos, which is included in the cost, but I need photos in as high resolution as possible.

I also think this would make an awesome anniversary party invitation with an old wedding photo of the couple!

40th Anniversary Celebration Invitation

My wonderful parents celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary in August of this year. However, I'm ashamed to say that this invitation was not designed for them....

I did keep them in mind while working on this "ruby" year celebration. I love patterns and textures and thought this was a sophisticated, yet modern way to celebrate a marriage of 4 decades.It also lends itself to be modified easily for other milestone years.
