Bridal Shower finishing touches

I had so much fun designing several finishing touches for a very fancy bridal shower this weekend. These girls thought of everything to make the shower for their friend such a special occasion.

I designed a 24x36 "chalkboard" drink menu (it was actually just printed, but designed to look like a chalkboard...I can do actual chalkboards, too...but shipping is tricky) with the 4 beverages being served at the shower.

Each guest was also given a stemless wine glass with "hello gorgeous" in gold.

Also (not pictured) are 9 custom table signs that included things that the bride-to-be's fiancé loves about her. I formatted each saying on a 5x7 or 8x10 and then foiled them in gold or light pink. They were framed and placed around the shower for as completely personalized shower decor.

MONOGRAMS & MIMOSAS 2

My original design for a Mimosas & Monograms bridal shower has been a big success. After a busy two years, I thought it was time to throw another version into the mix.

The new version has a vertical orientation with the champagne flute centered. I added the monogram information and registry list to the front of the design so an insert or back side printing is not needed.

Sometimes it is a little bit confusing if you are supposed to put their married name or maiden name on the invitation, to make sure the bride's gifts use the correct monogram. This setup takes the guesswork out and lists the "Future Mrs." If you prefer listing the bride-to-be with her current name, that is not a problem at all. I will make the necessary adjustments. Additionally, if the event is also a brunch, a few simple wording changes can accommodate that as well (It will be listed as a Bridal Brunch, and will use "showering" instead of "honoring".)

The bride's new monogram or the couple's monogram can be used on the glass. If you are listing the bride's monogram, please confirm with the honoree if she intends to use her middle or maiden initial after she is married. This is a very regional decision, so I make no assumptions anymore!

I have used many many different color combinations with the original design. I love coordinating these invitations with an existing wedding color scheme or with the hostesses vision for the party. The key is to have enough contrast in the colors that the printing can still be very clear.

The sample shown here is a 5x7 in the quatrefoil shape. Most of the shapes in the 5x7 will work beautifully, and it is also available as a standard 4x6 with rounded corners.

 

I have also decided to offer a variety of monogram styles. "Vine" is used in the sample. Please specify your shape & monogram style preference when ordering! Lastly, if you prefer the chevron background over the bubbles, just let me know!

SHABBY CHIC shower invitations

Burlap and lace is a great combination of "shabby" and "chic"...and is very popular these days.
It is very easy to decorate with these easy-to-find elements and you can even through in some chalkboard signs or mason jars.

This design is great for a Bridal Shower OR a Baby Shower!

The sample shown is a 5x7 with double rounded corners and return address printing. The price per set includes a plain white envelope, but you can opt to upgrade to the kraft envelope. The 4x6 is available with rounded corners and a white envelope. With a few simple font changes, the design can also take on a very WESTERN look!

WATERCOLOR FLORAL shower invitation

I found some beautiful watercolored flower images for sale several weeks ago and have been anxious to use them on an invitation design. I got my chance with these beautiful Garden Shower invitations. (Wording changes are welcome. It doesn't have to be a garden shower: bridal, baby, couples, or luncheon, etc. What a great excuse to decorate with fresh flowers!)

This invitation is available as a 4x6 or 5x7 (shown). Colored envelopes for the 5x7 are available, as is return address printing, flat or fold-over thank you cards, etc. The 2" return sticker is shown as well.

While browsing Pinterest, I saw the idea of giving floral seed packets as shower favors. I can just imagine the tags I could create to coordinate with this suite. What a great, inexpensive favor!

LILIES Bridal Shower

This design was especially fun for me because I get to go! The event is for my soon-to-be sister-in-law. The event is the day before Easter, so I thought using lilies would be appropriate, and they should be readily available and inexpensive to purchase as shower decorations.

Navy is one of her wedding colors, so I used just a tough of it to go with the pastels and it turned out beautifully. It is very easy to use this design for a baby shower by simply changing the word "Bridal" to "Baby".

CHALKBOARD SPRIGS Couples Shower

The chalkboard background continues to be a popular design choice. This invitation design uses hand-drawn fonts, vintage textures, and an informative layout. There are many ways to customize the design to make it perfect for your event. The sample uses the words "Drop-In Couples Shower" because the event is more of an open house. For a more structured timeline, those words can easily be changed to "Couples Wedding Shower" or even a baby event. If you are thinking of using this design for a baby shower honoring only the mother, I can easily alter the design to include the baby's name in a smaller scale.

The pale yellow can be substituted for any other pastel or bright color.

ANEMONE Luncheon or Shower invitation

This is a great invitation to honor a bride before her big day. It is designed for a bridal luncheon, but it would also work great for a shower for a bride, couple, or even a mother-to-be! The background pink color can be changed as needed and registry information can easily be added.

GATSBY – ART DECO shower

The Great Gatsby. The Roaring 20s. Flappers. Swing dancing. Fun.
This theme and style has made a comeback in recent months and black and gold are all the rage.

These shower invitations are a great combination of glitz and glam with fitting fonts and flare. Available in a 4x6 or a 5x7. The invitations are printed to look glittery on 100#, white, coverstock. Pricing is on the far right side of the blog (web version) or I can email you pricing.

FIESTA shower

I'm happy with any excuse to enjoy a margarita! A fiesta is a great theme for a party of any kind. It is easy to decorate (large or small scale) and the food it easy to make yourself or have catered.  Have it at a restaurant or in your backyard...

This new design is for a couples wedding shower, but I think it would look great adapted for a new baby or even a birthday. Just let me know what you have in mind!

LACE & PEARLS Bridal Shower Invitation

This custom piece was fun to work on. This actually wasn't the selected design, but it is my favorite. The mint & poppy color scheme is a bit non-traditional, but I think it is stunning. The pearls create a nice divider within the layout and using the poppy color sparingly creates softness with a pop of color.

This invitation is available as a 5x7 (shown) or a 4x6. The colors are completely customizable and I am happy to work up a return address design, stickers, thank you cards, etc. without any additional design fee. Depending on the color scheme, coordinating colored envelopes in the 5x7 size are also available for $.23 each.

MONOGRAM Shower

This invitation was designed for a client that liked my Monograms & Mimosas, Margaritas, Martinis, but she didn't want a featured beverage. I changed up the fonts a bit and the background pattern. These designs look great in a ton of different color combinations. There is no extra charge to change out the colors, so just let me know!

These were designed for a bridal shower, but they would also be adorable for a baby shower with just a few modifications to let the guests know what the baby's monogram will be!

The invitation is available as a 5x7 or 4x6. The optional enclosure card with the monogram information is $.45 each. I can also print the same information on the back of the card, making it double-sided. If you choose not to provide the extra information, I am happy to list the registry information on the invitation itself.

Martinis & Monograms — Bridal Shower

Due to the popularity of my Monograms & Mimosas and Monograms & Margaritas designs, I was asked to design one for Martinis....why not?! :)

The structure of the design is very similar to the Margarita design, but I love how "honoring" fits in the space at the top of the glass.

Just like the other designs, the colors are completely customizable. I feel like martinis lend themselves to a darker, nightclub kind of feel and I think black would look awesome!

The optional monogram information insert is $.45 per card. This information can also be printed on the back of the card, making it double-sided. If you prefer not to include the monogram information, I can easily add registration information to the invitation itself.

Return address printing is an extra $.20 per envelope.

I'm really pleased with the organization, layout, and overall look of this classic baby shower invitation. There are tons of ways to customize the colors to coordinate with the baby's room or shower theme.

This is a great idea for a shower to ensure that the honoree gets an assortment of gifts. Assign each guest with a time of the day (mark it on the invitation) and they purchase a gift that the bride and groom or parents-to-be can use during that time of day.

Soup/Chili Shower Invitation

Isn't this a cute (& easy) idea for a shower?!

Have a soup shower to honor the bride & groom or parents-to-be. This would be great for couples, families or just the ladies. Each host could bring a soup or chili. Serve with an assortment of crackers, crusty bread, and toppings. This sounds perfect for a fall evening without much stress at all!

I used an autumn color scheme, but I am open to whatever you may have in mind.

Chalkboard ENGAGEMENT Party Invitation

The chalkboard texture and background is really popular right now. This is a simple, economic design (because it is printed in black only, I discount the normal price). I am open to pops of color at the regular prices listed at the right.

I just love this design. It was originally a wedding invitation option that wasn't selected and I modified it for a bridal shower. It is clean, modern, and fancy.

This was designed at a couples shower invitation, but could easily be adapted for a baby shower, birthday, etc. Serving drinks out of Mason jars is a big (and very cute) trend right now. This invitation ties into that country-style decor seamlessly.
