The birthday girl's mom was pretty specific about wanting black/white stripes, gold-glitter (printed) pineapples, hot pink, green, & yellow with the cute little saying she provided. She also sent me a few photos of the pineapple shaped drinks that she ordered and the overall color scheme.  I love how it turned out!

The invitation shown is a 5x7 with rounded corners. I'm happy to design address stickers or return address printing and am happy to whip up additional "extras" at your request. The invitation is also available as a 4x6 single or double-sided. The sets come with white envelopes, but pink or black envelopes are available only in the 5x7 size.

Dr. Seuss THING ONE & THING TWO Birthday

If children have birthdays close together in the year, sometimes it is easier and cost effective to throw a double party. Invitations are not always easy to find, so I whipped up something special for this dynamic duo and they turned out really cute!

The invitation shown is a 5x7 with rounded corners and shows the two sided printing with the girls' photo on the back. MAJOR LEAGUE Birthday

The snow has finally melted and spring is here. Time for baseball!

I was recently asked to come up with a ticket-style invitation for a specific team. I did some research on ticket styles and combined quite a few elements to create  something catchy and full of spirit for our little sluggers!

I have only done 6 teams (so far) but I can design a ticket for any team...probably even some minor league teams.

Each design features the teams colors, 2 logos, the city skyline, and a photo of the birthday child as well as all pertinent event details. Please note that I simply used the stadiums as samples, but a home address or local party establishment is more than appropriate.

The sets are monarch sized (3.35x7.35") and in the ticket shape. They come with plain white envelopes and I am happy to design coordinating return address stickers, signage, banners, thank you cards...you name it. Just let me know!

TWINKLE STAR Birthday

Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star is often one of the very first nursery rhymes or songs that we learn as kids. So, it is very fitting for a first birthday theme. It is easy to use star cookie cutters for sandwiches and hang a few Christmas lights from the ceiling. Voila, an adorable party!

I love the use of the popular color combination of pinks, gold, white and cream in this invitation. The gold is simply printed and is not a 3D glitter (though you could add that yourself). This was designed for a first birthday, but I think it would be equally adorable at any age! The colors can also be altered to meet your party vision.

This is one of the first designs I've created with all of my new dies in mind. I'm still trying to figure out the best way to showcase all of the options. I've shown the 5x7 using the quatrefoil shape, but I can just as easily keep it rounded (or any of the other shapes). The 5x7 allows for a colored envelope option ($.23 each) and the flap of the envelope holds the return address just beautifully ($.20 per envelope).

I also wanted to show the same design using the "curvy monarch" size. I love that the name fits perfectly in the center, just where the invitation bumps out. The curves make it extra special, but the cost is still low! The sets come with white envelopes. I can print the return address on the back flap or am happy to design adorable address stickers at your request.

ALL-AMERICAN Birthday

It may not be the 4th of July, but it is always a good time to celebrate being an American. Robert and his family love all things red, white, and blue! This birthday will be so fun to decorate and I absolutely love the special patriotic photos that were taken for his big day!

This invitation is available as a 4x6 or 5x7 (shown). Colored envelopes for the 5x7 are available. I recommend red or I also have white with red stripes printed on the inside of the envelope...super cute (while supplies last). I haven't tried this concept with other birthdays, but I'm sure I could make it work if your birthday boy is older than one! :)

RUBBER DUCKY Birthday

Brinna is one of the sweetest girls I know and she LOVES her ducks, so incorporating them into her birthday theme seemed fitting. Her mom also wanted nautical elements so we used traditional navy/white nautical stripes and wording.

The invitation is shown as a 5x7 with yellow envelopes and return address stickers. The sets come with white, but a colored option is available for an additional charge. The stickers are sold by the sheet and come in 2" and 2.5" sizes.

I am happy to adjust wording and colors as needed. I also think this invitation design would work great for a second birthday also, adding the duck to the "o" of TWO.

I am also willing to change out the script font for a less feminine font if you are interested in the invitation for a little boy.

GARDEN / BUTTERFLY Birthday

The design process is my favorite aspect of my job. I rarely know how long a project will take me or what the end result will look like. Sometimes I post the design that was selected by the commissioning client, and sometimes I choose to share my favorite design or the the design I think most other people will prefer.

For this project, the party is garden themed. The client wanted me to use an adorable little poem, include a photo, and avoid an overly pastel color scheme. The designs shown above are 2 of the compositions I provided. Though there are similarities, they are very different so I've decided to add both. The butterfly design is not as garden-themed, but I love the colors and elegance. I still think the poem works, but I am also happy to change it to something else.

If your child is not turning one, a great alternate line is "We hope you can come." I can also provide a design that does not use a photo at your request.

EASTER Birthday

I think having an egg hunt for a birthday party is such a cute idea!

The client wanted to use bright colors and nothing too cutsie. I'm actually including two of the designs because I just couldn't decide which one I preferred.

I am happy to alter the color scheme and change wording as needed. The nest design would also be really cute for a baby shower.

Each design comes in a 5x7 or a 4x6 (please specify which design and your size preference when ordering via email). Each set comes with white envelopes. Colored envelopes are available for the 5x7 size in many different coordinating colors for $.23 each.

A BANNER Birthday

This invitation is simple, clean and based on a color scheme instead of a "theme". The design & party happens to be for my precious niece (party info changed of course) and her mom has great plans for an ombre cake, white dishes, etc.

I designed a banner that coordinates with this design for when Vivian came home from the hospital and her mom plans to use it at the party, too!

I think this design would be fantastic for any age (even 70). It would be really easy to change the color scheme to fit your needs.

I plan to print the invitations on metallic/pearlized cardstock to make them extra fancy!

Vintage Carnival Birthday

I tend to go "big" for first birthdays. My little man turned one on September 26th. What an amazing year has been and we wanted to celebrate in a big way for our big man!

I will post pictures and images of a lot of the supplemental stuff soon, but wanted to get the invitation up. It is also available without a photograph if you prefer.

ELMO — Birthday Invitation

Who doesn't love this red, fuzzy guy?

A fun, Elmo-specific invitation that is easily customizable to different names and years. I especially love the line at the bottom about being brought to you by the letter, K and the number, 2!

Nautical Mickey Birthday

It is hard to believe that I designed this little guy's birth announcements a year ago. Time flies!

I just adore clean, nautical-style stripes, especially in this color palette. Apparently Mr. Hayes just loves Mickey mouse, so adding the iconical ears and using a Disney-style script for his name added the Mickey touches his mom was looking for.

I just love the dark aqua helm with little waves on the inside. It makes this perfect for a pool-side party or anything near water.

OWL — Look whoooo's turning ONE!

I've seen this theme for a birthday several places and think it is super cute. Owls are very popular now and it is a lot of fun to change out the colors (completely customizable)! This 4x6 or 5x7 birthday invitation highlights a photo between two branches with bright green leaves. The leaf is even carried into the name and used as an apostrophe!

LUAU — Birthday Invitation

First birthdays tend to be big celebrations....for the parents as much as for the child....you survived the first year! A luau is a fantastic party theme that has tons of easy-to-purchase decorations and fun bright colors. (If your child is not turning one, it is easy to change out the number!)

Watercolor Party Hat BIRTHDAY Invitation

I am really pleased with how this first birthday party invitation turned out. I used a watercolor pattern within the hat to soften the look and add texture. The polkadot background has a soft white "grunge" overlay to soften that look as well. Not all parties need a big theme and this invitation is youthful and elegant. Of course it is easy to modify for celebrations other than the first year.

This comes as a 4x6 and a 5x7. The actual invitation for my client is double-sided with additional party information on the back. It is a very nice touch for not a lot of extra $. (All pricing based on size & quantity shown on far right column of blog.) However, there is a minimum order of 25 for the double-sided design and there must be at least 2 weeks for production. Single sided invitations only require one week total turnaround.

Colored envelopes are available in the A7 size for 5x7 designs only. Recommended colors to match this design are pink lemonade, bubblegum, and grapesicle. The upgrade cost for colored envelopes is $.20 each. Return address printing is only recommended on white and is $.20 per envelope.

Little SUNSHINE Birthday Invitation

I must admit that I was very excited to work on this project. To this day, my dad calls me "Shiner", short for sunshine.

This lucky little girl even came into this work with "Here Comes the Sun" playing in the operating room! There isn't a "theme" to her party other than YELLOW, and sunshines of course. With that in mind, I focused on the color and used rays in the background. It was very convenient that Caroline has an "o" near the center of her name. I think this design concept would also work well off the dot of an "i", in an "e", "a" or many other letters too. Don't feel like it won't work for you because of the letters in the name. I'll figure something out!

The wording is very customizable... It would be adorable to include the wording to one of hundreds of songs that use the word "sunshine". This was designed as a first birthday invitation, but it could easily work for a sunshine of any age!

Banners are now available too. Banners with small pennants (approx. 5x8) are $2.00 each. Large pennants (8x10) are $3.50 each. New MINI Pennants are 3.75x5 for $1.50 each!

TRENDY (Modern) Mickey & Minnie Birthday

Not everyone wants cutsie, character birthday invitations for their little ones...even if they adore Mickey & Minnie.

I love this modern, clean, simple, unisex design. It was originally designed for 2 kiddos: a boy and a girl and this is the modified version for one kid. Just ask if you would like to see the twins design or a version for kids of different ages. Of course the envelope return address design adjustable as well. 

This invitation is available as a 4x6 or a 5x7. I am happy to adjust colors and wording at your request.

Super Bowl Birthday

I am so thrilled with the outcome of these extremely creative birthday invitations. I cannot take credit for the concept at all. My awesome client came to me wanting to create "VIP Passes" as invitations, even including the plastic sleeve and lanyard!

I provided a few options and this is the once she decided on. They are for a first birthday party, but it would also be easy to adjust the "logo" for a more generic event.

If you don't want the expense of obtaining your own sleeves and lanyards, perhaps laminating and adding a ribbon would provide the same effect at a lower cost. Subtract the "badge" idea all together and I can make these as a standard 5x7 or 4x6. (I provided 4x6 envelopes to accomodate the 3.75"x5.75" plastic sleeves.)
